Cairn Oil donates nets to 450 fishermen in AP

In line with its mission to transform communities, Cairn Oil & Gas, part of Vedanta Group and India’s largest private oil and gas exploration and production company, distributed fishing nets to village elders and the fishing community of S Yanam village in Andhra Pradesh to help improve their livelihoods. Cairn Oil & Gas operates the Ravva oilfield situated in proximity to S Yanam village which hosts members of the fishing community. The Ravva JV contributes Rs 5 crore every year from its CSR fund to the district administration to supply fishing nets through the District Fisheries Department, enabling livelihood development for the community members.
